The Winnebago Landfill facility, a municipal solid waste landfill, is located five miles south of Rockford in southern Winnebago County. The integrated solid waste management facility consists of the landfill, a recyclables processing center, future landfill gas-to-energy processing and associated ancillary services. Winnebago Reclamation Service is the operator of the facility.
